The Toronto Leaside Wildcats are pleased to announce the following coaching appointment to our 2015-16 Intermediate AA/PWHL team.
Head Coach Kim McCullough returns for her second season behind the Jr. Wildcats bench. The 2014-15 PWHL season has seen the Jr. Wildcats move from 16th place at the close of the last season, to a solid 10th place overall as of early January 2015. The hard work, discipline and skill development that Kim has brought to this group of athletes has been exceptional; as the results clearly demonstrate. Kim brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Wildcats, including stints provincially and nationally with U18 teams. Prior to coaching the PWHL team at Leaside, Kim was head coach of Leaside’s Midget AA and Bantam AA teams. Her own hockey background includes minor hockey here at Leaside, followed by an NCAA career at Dartmouth.
At the time of this announcement, 5 of our PWHL players have signed letters of intent with CIS and NCAA programs for next season.
Our PWHL team works collaboratively with our Midget AA team – affording players practice and game opportunities. Kim and our Midget AA coach, John Hebert, work together on player evaluation and systems planning. This collaborative approach better prepares Midget AA players for the step to Jr.
We look forward to another successful season for our Jr Wildcats team under Kim’s leadership and congratulate her and the team on a very successful season to date.
Players who are interested in the Jr Wildcats program should contact Coach Kim directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
