Hockey fans in Toronto are invited to support our home team as the Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats take on Team China at Don Mills Arena on Tuesday November 18 at 7pm.
The game is part of a rigorous training and touring schedule that has seen Team China, who is ranked 14th in the world in IIHF Division IB, compete against Ontario’s top female hockey teams. The Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats plays in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League and is currently ranked 10th in a field of 20.
“We are thrilled to host Team China and offer our elite players the opportunity to compete at the international level – in our own community,” says Jennifer Smith, president of the Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey Association – one of the world’s largest female hockey clubs. “Olympic dreams begin in our community arenas, and we’re inviting all hockey fans to join us for a great evening of high-calibre hockey.”
