After 10 regular season games, the Toronto-Leaside Jr Wildcats have an overall record of 3 wins, 2 losses and 5 ties, good for 11 points in the standings and an overall win percentage of 0.550. The team currently sits in 11th place overall with games in hand.
Game 6 was a 1-0 victory at home over Ottawa. The team lost their 1st game of the regular season the following afternoon 1-0 to Mississauga. In Game 8, the Jr Wildcats found themselves down early and couldn’t fight their way backing, losing 4-1 against Durham West. In games 9 and 10, Leaside jumped out in the lead in both games, only to come away with two ties, 1-1 vs Aurora and 3-3 vs Bluewater.
The Jr Wildcats return to action on Saturday November 4th at Leaside Arena for a 740pm match-up against Cambridge. The Toronto-Leaside Jr Wildcats would also like to wish Myah Bowal, Kristin Della Rovere and Kate Stuart the best of luck at this week’s Under 18 National Championships in Quebec City. This marks the 2nd year in a row that the Jr Wildcats will have 3 players competing at this national event. Bowal and Stuart will be representing Team BC at the event and Della Rovere will be competing for Team Ontario Red. The 2017 National Women’s Under-18 Championship runs from November 1st to 5th in Quebec City at ExpoCité’s Pavillon de la jeunesse.
